Oh, HELLO! Is anyone still out there?
SO, I know. I’ve been MIA.
I’ve been BUSY!
So much so that I think it requires a list!
Here we go:
- I helped plan and host a baby shower. Which, HOLY FUCKING HELL. Stress. But totally worth it.
- Zach has been having speech therapy twice a week. I’m usually only home two days a week, so this has thrown a serious cramp into my sitting on the couch time. Especially since the house has to be presentable. And they spend the entire hour on my living room floor, so I even have to vacuum. And pick up toys so there’s, you know, room for them on the floor. It’s really time consuming. Who knew.
- We remodeled our master bath. And we’re still happily married!
- Dylan is obsessed, and when I say obsessed, I mean OBSESSED, with Wii Super Mario Bros. It’s the first thing he asks about in the morning, and he wants to play it until the moment he goes to bed. I’m pretty sure he dreams about it all night long. And because I’m such a good mother, I take the time to sit my ass on the couch and play it with him on occasion.
- I also enrolled Dylan in T-ball. The paperwork took me six weeks to fill out because I was never at the right location with the correct paperwork. But, he will be playing T-ball next month! So, yay! More shit to add to my list!
That’s all I can think of. And I’m tired now. So I think I’m going to take a nap. Because the fact that the contents of my closet are stacked up in my bedroom (my husband decided to undertake a closet remodel – sigh) means nothing to me. A nap sounds much more exciting than organizing the crap from my closet.
What have you guys been up to?

First, vacuuming…ick.
Second, I hope the Mario Bros. obsession doesn’t extend to clothes like it has with Rhett — he will ONLY wear Super Mario crap…and let me say that fashions in Mario World are pretty…well…tacky.
Third, how long do you think I can avoid organized sports with three boys? So far, 8 years. Part of it is because I am not organized enough to get them there. Part of it is I can’t force myself to be there for hours watching. Yep, once again it is all about me.
Glad ya are back
I’ve been obsessed with Wii Super Mario Bros. too! It’s all I think about doing when I get home. My daughter does not share my passion and it’s her game.
I also signed my daughter up for softball but that actually went more smoothly than I expected. I know it will be good for her – but – also – like you said – just more shit to do. I expect to spend a lot of time in the next few months cutting oranges into slices.
So jealous of your nap. Enjoy!

We’re in Mario Kart hell here. It’s a battle everyday to keep the kid occupied enough that he’s not begging to play.
Good for you for continuing to be married even after a remodel. I know we wouldn’t be as strong.
The baby shower looked beautiful and worth all your hard work!
Well, HI!
All that vacuuming, ugh. Yuck.
Gorgeous baby shower, Yay.
Nap: Yes, please.

I’m too tired to play the catch up game so yeah, I’ve been busy. Also can I come organize your closet.
Um, let Jen come organize your closet. Have you seen her suitcase and bathroom kit? It’s like perfectly organized.

Yay for being 26 and having the same obsession as Dylan! My boyfriend travels quite a bit and this past Friday I spent 4 hours on the couch playing.
So, I read you and I don’t think I’ve commented but like once or twice, ever. Whoops.
HI.
The shower you threw for Heather? Awesome.
Mario on the Wii? My 4yo is obsessed also. Mario cart. Mario on Super Smash Brothers. Super Mario Galaxy. I’m kind of glad we don’t have your game.
Can I have a master bathroom and closet re-model please? We *need* it.
Baby showers are so much fun, haven’t been to one in several years. Awwww! Nothing like the mess of remodeling, post a b4 and after picture! Good luck with the closet. Sounds like your a very busy mom. Enjoy it, it goes by way to fast!

Dylan is so much like Josh.
SO MUCH.
The shower was awesome! Great job.
I love going to baby showers! The bummer thing is that for the past 5 or 6 years or so, the only baby showers I’ve attened are my own. SO not the same as being a guest at one.
You’ve been busy!
And I wish we could remodel our master bath. Somehow over the years its become the community bathroom. Toys in the tub. Kids things everywhere. It needs a serious make-over. But that will have to wait a few years. It’s waaaaaaay down on our list of things to do.

That Wii, is absolutely FUN! I haven’t played Super Mario yet, but if it’s half as addictive as the Sports Resort… Go ahead, buy him the shirt, back-pack, comforter…
