36 Week Baby Update

And the fun continues!

I’ll get the important stuff out of the way first:

I’m already 3cm dilated, 70% effaced and the baby is at -1 station.

And that means…pretty much a big fat WHO THE FRICK KNOWS.

I haven’t had any painful or regular contractions, although the Braxton Hicks that I’ve been having for MONTHS have definitely become  a bit more regular and obvious.  So they’re doing what they’re supposed to do and are getting me ready to have a baby.

When they’ll have me ready enough for the real thing to start is the question of the day.  And it’s a question no one can answer.

Which is really freaking annoying.

I’m not good at not knowing when things are going to happen.  Like, in the morning, I even like to have an idea of when dinner is going to be do I can be prepared.

So you can imagine what I’m like when I’m expecting to have a baby.  It ain’t pretty.

I’m still measuring quite a bit behind, which thoroughly alarmed my Doctor.  He’s been out of town for the past few weeks and didn’t know that I’d seen the Perinatologist for an ultrasound last week (the report had somehow not made it into my file.).  But, after receiving and reading the report, he was satisfied that Kung Fu Fetus is growing appropriately.  Apparently he’s in the 50% percentile for his gestational age.  Which is just fine with me.  Small babies come out easier.

Now we just wait and see.

I’m in OMFGFINDAHOUSE mode.  Zach’s birthday is next Tuesday and his party is on Sunday.  Then Dylan starts school two weeks from today.

So I have a lot to keep me busy and preoccupied.

At least I hope so!
