Numbers

by Meghan on September 12, 2010

2: The number of weeks Oliver has been with us

4: The number of times per day, on average, that Ollie loses his ever loving mind because he’s going to starve if he doesn’t eat RIGHTNOWOMFG

87: The  number of times per day that the boys ask to hold “Baby Oliver”

12: The number of times per day that Zach says “NOT OLLIE, BABY OL-I-VER”

4,325: The number of tiny, poop filled diapers I’ve changed in the past two weeks (I’m pretty sure I’m not exaggerating)

2: The number of hours that Ollie is willing to let pass between feedings.  From start time to start time

22: The number of hours per day that Oliver spends sleeping.  Some of this time includes sleep eating.  And by some, I mean a GOOD DEAL.

Peace out

3.5: The number of weeks that we’ve lived in our new house

3.5: The number of weeks I’ve gone without a working microwave and washer and dryer

87: The number of times I’ve lost MY mind over not having a working microwave and washer and dryer

9,929,87o,367:  The number of times, in a 3.5 week span, that I would use my microwave.   Apparently.

53: The number of non-maternity elastic waist pants I have.  I should probably be embarrassed by this number. I’m not

4: The number of nights Zachary has gone to bed without a pacifier.  He gave it up in exchange for a trip to the cupcake store.

Cupcakes!

3: The number of weeks Dylan has been in Kindergarten

2.5: The number of weeks Dylan has gone to Kindergarten without whining or crying

1: The number of kids Dylan has friended at Kindergarten. At least enough to remember their name.  This makes me kind of sad

3: The number of hours per day that Dylan and Zach spend playing together.  Nicely.  This is a new development and makes me happy

1: The number of soccer games Dylan has played in.  He loves it.

Soccer star

1.5: The number of hours it’s taken me to write this post

And if you paid attention, that means it’s time for Ollie to eat again.  And get a new diaper.

I had several babies that were on a similar schedule. It is hard while you are in the middle of it.

My oldest daughter only talked about one kid for the first several weeks of kindergarten and I was a little worried about that. But, she was friendly with other kids and just attached to the one. Now she is in third grade and she has lots of friends. He’ll be fine.

I hope today brings at least one stretch of more than 2 hours between feedings!

Please tell me that Zach at least asked for more than one cupcake. Or a weekly trip to the cupcake store in exchange for his paci…because if not, does he not realize what he has done?!!?
