Six years ago today, he entered the world.
He was my first baby. Born one month before my 1st wedding anniversary.
A good sleeper since birth, he is still our only child who asks to go to bed on a regular basis.
He is inquisitive and has been known to ask a thousand and one questions about things.
He is suspicious of new things, resistant to change, but (almost) always willing to have a good time.
He is a natural athlete.
And a tender soul.
He is a great big brother.
And a great, big goofball.
He was my first. He taught me everything I know about being a Mother. He challenges me on a daily basis, but I’d never have it any other way.
Happy Birthday, Dude. I love you to bits.

I don’t know you or your kids personally, I just stop in from time to time to read, but this post brought tears to my eyes! I have a 7 year old firstborn son and I feel the exact same way. Happy birthday to your kid.
