So, remember a few days ago when I told you that we weren’t sleeping and I was tired and it was getting really old and waaahhhhhhhh?
Yeah, so I’ve pretty much decided that I’m going to use this space to complain about stuff from now on, because THAT NIGHT they slept through the night. Both of them. All night. And for a few nights after that.
We’ve had a few hiccups in the road back to a family of super awesome sleepers, but it’s been SO MUCH BETTER that I don’t even care.
Well, I kind of care. Because the other night when the kids were sleeping soundly, I was wide awake having a mild panic attack about everything in life, OMG. Money, moving, remodeling, Zach’s speech, Ollie’s speech, Dylan starting a new school, yadda yadda yadda. I finally fell back to sleep only to be awakened by a scary dream. I was being attacked by a black vampire that resembled a bat. A long, skinny humanish looking bat. So that was fun.
Anyway, things were going pretty well and everyone was happy and well rested. Until last night, when Ollie woke up 3 times between 10:00pm and 11:30pm. I finally gave in and came to terms with the fact that he wasn’t going to go back to sleep, so I got him out of his crib and we headed into the living room. Where we sat and watched 2 episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba and half an episode of Sesame Street. He walked around the room, he danced, he played with toys, he sat on my lap and he drank a bottle. It would have been a perfectly lovely time if it hadn’t been 1:00am.
Then we went back to bed and he slept until 9:00am this morning. Little shit.
So I’m exhausted and he was perfectly happy all day.
Until about 5:45pm when this happened.
So, he went to bed at 6:00 pm tonight, which I’m SURE isn’t going to bite me in the ass at 12:30am.
On the bright side, I probably won’t be sleeping seeing as our loan funded today, so as of tomorrow afternoon we officially own another house.
Holy shit, y’all.
The next picture I share might be of ME having a meltdown.

I love that kid! Also, yay for funding and new houses.
Good luck and please no meltdowns. Adult tantrums aren’t as cute as kid ones!!
My 14 month old has been waking up and staying up for a few hours for the past month or so. It is OH SO PAINFUL. I feel for you. The folks on the web say it is perfectly normal (and somewhat common), but wow, not fun. We cosleep so I play possum and let him roll around and cry and fuss and talk. Eventually he goes back to sleep.
