As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I started writing for Babble’s new Kid Scoop blog. Now that I’m a few weeks in, I feel like I’m sort of starting to get into my groove. It’s always a bit bizarre to start a new writing job. While I have a specific voice on this site that I’m comfortable with, I always feel the need to find a new, somewhat different voice for other websites. Perhaps something not as sarcastic, or as casual, or as four letter word filled (ahem).
It’s strange and fun and challenging. Everything starting a new job should be, except I get to go to work from the comfort of my couch, or if I’m feeling really adventurous, from Starbucks, and I can wear yoga pants if I want. So, it’s really pretty awesome.
I thought I’d share a few of the things I’ve written, since they’re (mostly) pretty different from what you usually find here.
- A post about my family vacation bucket list. Where would you take your kids if time and money weren’t a consideration?
- My love/hate relationship with those military reunion videos. Read that one with a box of tissues handy.
- I take a LOT of photos. So I thought I’d share a few of my favorites.
- Dylan bites his nails. It drives me insane, but I figured out a way to make it work as a life lesson. Parenting WIN!
- As you know, Zach wears glasses. I put together a slideshow of some other adorable kids with glasses.
- I don’t let my kids consume many sugary foods or drinks. Where do you stand on the issue?
ALSO! I *finally* updated the house site! We DJ put windows in this weekend! Go check it out!
And, finally, a cute picture of Oliver. Because, why not?

Can I just say Oliver is adorable and this blog is getting more addictive as I go onto each post?
I was wondering would you be interested in sharing your articles with other like-minded parent bloggers? If yes, please email me at info@atomicreach.com with Parents in the subject line.
