Kindergarten, Zach Is In You

Zachary started Kindergarten today. In true Zach fashion, he was insanely excited and didn’t even hesitate on his way into the classroom.

He had a great first day. I mean, it seems like he had a great first day, because to hear him tell it, he doesn’t remember any of it. Except that he saw Dylan at one point and he liked playing on the climber. He’s looking forward to going back tomorrow, so we’ll call it a success.

Even Dylan, who tends to be more nervous about things in general, did great. He headed off to the playground this morning without so much as hugging us goodbye. It’s so much easier to leave them behind when they’re perfectly happy to be there.

Now Ollie and I have to figure out what to do with each other for the next 9 months.
