Your New Favorite Appetizer – Salami Roll-Ups

The recipe for these guys have been floating around my family for ages. I could swear that I remember my mom making them for get-togethers when we were growing up, but she says it was my Aunt.

Either way, these have long been one of my favorites, and now that I’ve started making them for my own get-togethers, they’ve become the favorites of friends and family as well.

The best part is that they’re super easy to make and only require three* ingredients!


1- 1lb. (or larger) Package of your favorite brand pre-sliced Italian Dry Salami

1- 8oz brick of cream cheese (regular or low-fat)

2- 16oz Jars Whole Peperoncinis


Drain one** jar of peperoncinis and remove the stems and seeds. If there are any that are too big, cut them in half.

Using a knife, spread some cream cheese (approx. 1tsp) onto a slice of salami and top with a peperoncini.

Roll the salami around the peperoncini and secure with a toothpick.


The hardest part about the whole process, for me, is not eating them as I go. Because there are rarely leftovers, I always make a few extras to leave behind. These are a GREAT snack to have on hand.

*If you’re not a peperoncini fan (ahem, MOM), these will still be delicious without them. Just not quite as delicious.

**I never know how far each jar is going to get me, so I always have an extra on hand, just in case. I usually need at least 1/3 to 1/2 of a second jar to finish off a package of salami.

Maybe jarred red peppers would be an alternative to the peperoncini. The color would be nice along with the yellow.

Three ingredients and one of them’s salami? Win! That picture made me so hungry, that I went rummaging through my fridge to see if I had all three ingredients. Had only two. :(
