Well, 3. 3 updates.
Okay, so remember a few months ago I told you guys that Dylan was in a batting slump and I was in a workout slump?
Well, I’m still lazy and not going to the gym. BUT! As of last weekend, I think we can safely say that Dylan is out of his batting slump. In his last game he went 2 for 2, with 2 RBIs. It was awesome. And since then, at practice, he’s been hitting the crap out of the ball. I’m very much looking forward to this weekend when he will (hopefully) play 3 games for the district All Stars championship.
**Warning – Mommyblog material ahead** I haven’t posted about this, so technically it’s not an update, but I’m including it anyway, because it’s pretty awesome. Ollie is *almost* completely potty trained. He decided to take it upon himself last week and insisted on sitting on the potty when he had to go. We still have occasional accidents, but for the most part, he’s got it down. There have been lots of excited “I did it!”s yelled the past few days, and it’s insanely adorable.
My baby is growing up. Also, he’s the cutest reindeer you ever did see.
And now for what you’ve all been waiting for.
I sent my (fairly specific) kitchen design ideas to a cabinet manufacturer and they sent back a 3D mockup and a price.

For the low, low price of $8 GABILLION dollars, those cabinets can be mine. I don’t know about you, but $8 Gabillion is a little bit out of my price range. What’s alarming is that this is supposed to be a “discount” rate. The quoted price reflected an almost 50% discount from manufacturer list price. EEP.
So please excuse me as I hit the internet to research other cabinet suppliers. I’m set on American made cabinets, so I know I’m going to have to pay a bit more, but I refuse to believe that I can’t find a good deal…somewhere.
